my central locking from the key fob has been working fine since weve had the car however today the car refused to lock and unlock so weve replaced the batteries for exactly the same at £3.99 each x2 but its still not working, anybody know how to re sync the key to the car? looked in the maunuals but it doesnt tell me anything, sure theres a certain way once you replace the batteries, can anybody help?

thanks in advance:sos:

May be worth popping to your dealers and see if they can help

What you find with the keys is they do 'loose' their code if you have the battery out for too long or if the battery does go totally flat.

Sometimes the car needs to be connected to a dealershp VAGCOM as the coding has to go via the factory for obvious securtiy reasons, it used to be a real ballache when I worked for VAG at times

Have a scoot thru the search pages on here and see if you can do it manually, sometimes you can put one key in the igniton and another in the door, twist it twice, run around in a circle, pee on a cat, lick the palm of your hand etc and it works, worth looking into.

If not it could cost you about £60 for a dealer to help you out
