Leaky boot

I've got a 1995 2.6E Coupe,i keep getting water in the back of my boot just below the boot tidy.
I've changed the rubber aroud the boot but still have no joy.
I've noticed my rear light assembly by the lock is damp, has anyone any suggestions???

have been various problems on type 81 ( series 2 80/90).Seems that it is possible that the sealing mastic around the lamps "fails". How about getting somebody to run the hose over the area whilst you are inside the boot , with a torch , and see if you can spot where it is coming in, a harmless non staining dye may help if you need to takes bits off to check where it is flowing from, rarely seems to be a direct route in my experience.

I had this on my 100 S4 and it was only when I striped the lights and covers out that I noticed part of the gasket around the covers was missing, just enough to let water in.

Cheers lads on inspection of my rear lights at the weekend, both of my rear lights were leaking in water.
I've changed the seal now & lets hope thats the end of a water logged boot! Thanx again. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/groovy.gif
