Today my car started to smell of diesel as i walked past it. I decided to take a look and noticed the return hose that goes to the pump has split just before the fuel hose clip. I noticed it was damaged when i changed the filter a few weeks back but it has now given up the ghost and is leaking fuel.
Do i need to replace the entire length of the hose? or can i simply cut the damaged section off and replace with a t piece and a new bit of hose? pictures below to show you the extent of the damage.
