Hi all,
looking for advice on where to look for issues. Was driving in this morning when my lovely DAB reception suddenly went crackle/thud and then my DAB began reloading the station list randomly. Also although I was able to switch through my audio sources (DAB/Radio/AMI/CD) I couldn't hear anything. I fear something has died. The one thing I had done before it went off was to use my rear wash-wipe. I am aware of issues with the wash-wipe feed working loose and shedding water over the components in the rear and I had this checked and the pipework replaced about 8 months ago. It seems perhaps using the wash/wipe at the rear today has caused this.

I've left the units off to dry out for a few hours while I'm at work and hopefully they'll recover. However, if the worst does happen and I can't get any audio where do I start with diagnosis? I can probably get my local specialist service people to give me a dump from VAGCOM but is are there any other things worth checking.

I had a feel around the units when i arrived at work and I can't see any obvious signs of water ingress.

Hopefully if any units have gone pop i can get 2nd hand replacements on ebay but I assume these would then need coding to the car (not that I know how to do that!). My car is an 07 plate 3.0 TDI Quattro. I am guessing this is MMI 2G (I've got the early 3D style maps).

Any advice appreciated.

thanks.

Seems like it working again (checked during my lunch break). Will have to monitor and see what happens I guess.... gulp.
