I thought I was fairly competent when it came to this sort of thing, but I'm stumped:

I just changed out my rather tired Panasonic DVD/Home Cinema system for a shiny new Sony one, but now my Xbox One doesn't output 5.1 surround sound, only 'uncompressed stereo'. The Xbox is connected via HDMI to my TV (Sony Bravia KDL-55W905A) which is then connected via TOSLink to the BR unit. This is exactly the same setup I was using for the old Panny unit. I know I could plug the TOSlink cable from the Xbox to the BR but then I wouldn't have 5.1 watching TV as the BR only has a single optical IN. The obvious solution would be to use an AV hub/receiver of some kind with multiple inputs and outputs, but I didn't need to go to that length before so I shouldn't now either.

Isn't newer stuff meant to be better at integrating?Any one have any ideas? Is the setting I'm not seeing on the TV, the BR or the Xbox?
