Low Battery Level - Battery Will Be Charged Whilst Driving

Anyone had this message?
Possibly not unexpected to have this come on, w/ the battery being over 7 years old and the cold weather etc, but the handbook implies it stays on until the battery is charged, and mine vanished almost instantly.
another of the weirdie warnings i've had or possibly literally right on the razor's edge of qualifying for the message and then sorted immediately?

I've never ever had that message, my battery is almost 8 years old, but I only use my S4 for longer journeys, nothing less than 15 miles, typically 100+miles, and that car is always connected to a CTEK smart battery maintenance charger when not being used.
So, yes I reckon that your battery is on the edge, are your journeys typically short or long?

commute is about 20 mins each way, been doing it for a couple years now w/ no issues. if it happens again i'll get it looked at. just hope she starts for me getting home :-D
