Low oil pressure warning?

My car has recently been in for its Pistons and conrods due to high oil consumption. I've had the car back a few weeks and the oil had dropped again about 2 segments and today the low oil pressure warning light came in the dash for about 30 seconds then disappeared!! I'm wondering if it's a leak or a faulty sensor. Any ideas?

I will be phoning first thing tomorrow. I'm at my wits end with this car and I've only had it 6 months it's one thing after another!

iv got a problem with a 18T 2009

using 1ltr of oil in say around 300/400 miles
gone from not using a drop to this so feel your pain.

That's how mines started off it's been a constant annoyance since I bought it

Did you manage to get the pressure issue sorted?

Just to update, had the pressure sensor changed... Same problem, took the sump off to check the pickup pipe, engine clean as a whistle as was the pipe, changed the oil and new filter and problem solved!! Apparently oil coming out was obviously dark but seemed a lot thicker than the oil going in?! Didn't think the engine would be so sensative to the oil...
