Mag Ride Recalibration in North East

Interestingly place I'm taking to get them fitted said they contacted eibach who advised the pros don't require mag ride calibration. However they are going to do it for me anyway.

So just had a look at the side of the box and looks like I've been given springs for an S3. I've looked it up and the part number for the RS3 is slightly different.

I bought them from Rival Motorsport and they have that specific part listed as fitting the S3/RS3. Yet Eibach shop list them as 2 distinct part numbers.

I'm sure I've read somewhere before that the S3 and RS3 basically have the same suspension, is this the case.

I've contacted them to see what the say... The were a good £30 cheaper than anywhere else, maybe why?

Mine are both 12. Which seem to correspond to S3 where as you have 12 and 13. Guessing they're probably just the same part. Will wait and see what Rival say.

So apparently the kit I've been given is fine to use, difference is an extra load rating of 40kg on the rear springs you have, hence the '13' in the part number. Said they'd swap the rears out no problem for me. Will probably just do that to keep things spot on.

Got the springs swapped to the correct ones and have the car booked in next Tuesday, finally.

However the first kit came with bump stops and the new kit hasn't. I asked the place I bought them from and they said it was strange that they included them with the first kit as they usually come without...

Any ideas?!

Springs fitted, along with spacers, yet to do an alignment and mag ride recal.

Have to say I'm impressed. First time I've fitted either to a car and if I'm honest I can barely notice any difference in ride quality to the point that I'm questioning whether any bumps I feel are just because I'm looking for them.

Eibach pros and 10mm spacers all round.

Can I ask you some questions about recalibration?

I have an RS3 and bought the car on KW adjustable springs. Initially I had Conti 5 tyres and 12.5mm spacers. The car drove with no dramas at all. I then changed to Michelin PS4s. The shoulders of the tyre are more square and srubbed straight away. I've since taken them off. I've been chatting with lots of people, who have a similar set up and have no issues.

Would Mag ride calibration help?
How much is it?
Where about in Uppermill are you?
