Hi Everyone.

I am thinking of upgrading and retrofitting my head Unit from MIB 1 to MIB 2 without sim and without DAB. but with full support of Android Auto and Apple car play and navigation.

I am based in South Africa and I don't know the part number supported in my location (South Africa), or can I buy any head unit and have it coded to my car.

I need part numbers for the following:-
- Head unit MIB2
- Large 7 inch HD Screen
- Control Unit for MMI
- USB1 + USB2 + AUX unit in armrest
- Wiring for USB Connecter to head unit

Does this retrofit just straightup work? Or does it need coding with ODIS? since you need to unlock components in my understanding?

You have to get them coded. I know a coding specialist around Johannesburg in South Africa so I am planning to take it there once I have collected all the parts

The BE control panel won't give you touch input. So you can go for the same part number ending in BJ if you want touch input.

You will need coding, and component protection removal.

You will also need the FL amplifier if you have the BO setup.
