MK1 TT 225 Quattro power steering pipe length?

Hi

Power steering pipe has started leaking on the wifes TT. I've had a quote from here for £320 which seems about the norm, second hand are cheaper but they'll all be old too so I'm looking into getting one made up and saving myself £300.

Does anyone know how long the run for #4 will have to be so it fits nicely? Doesn't need the zigzag bit but don't want loads of slack... I'll measure it also but if anyone has had one made up already it'd be a huge help.

Car is a 2002 (late 51 plate) 225 quattro, BAM engine.

Quick follow up:

got a hose made up, 2SC hose with a 9/16" JIC straight on one end (pump end) and an m14 banjo on the other (rack end)
m16 banjo to -6an connector for the pump

Ran the new pipe from the rack straight up and then toward the front, looping over the gearbox and then down and across to the pump. Much easier than threading it through the way the old pipe went.

Pipe £23 inc vat and delivery
Banjo about £6

vs audi hose at £340.
