MK1 - Variable Timing Valve

Have a fault that's flagging a fault with the variable timing valve/solenoid. Going to take it off for a clean but with 135k miles I'd say it probably needs replaced. Anyone know of a how-to for removing it?

Part number for an '04 BAM 225 So I can check prices?
