Hi Forum,

Anyone know how to remove this trim panel (in red)?

It simply just pulls off, I used a trim removal tool to slide under it on the left side and worked my way down untill the first clip popped off, then just pulled the rest off by hand!

Planning on installing a phone holder more securely than sticky pad...

Personally I'd lose the phone completely, too tempting to use, spoils the aesthetics of the interior and, in my opinion, redundant..

Agreed cuke. With CarPlay there literally is no need to see the phones screen.

Off topic but I have been reading Cuke2u as Cake 2 u for god knows how long. And i just thought he liked a bit of battenberg.

If you don’t have a trim removal key you can use a small Allen key near the thick part to the right of the mmi screen and insert it sideways and turn it 90 deg and then yank it off. It will need a lot of force and will feel like it will break. I had a small piece small an Air freshener fall into the vent was really annoying would rattle all the time.
