Q7 MMI Issues

Hi,

my MMI screen comes on for a few seconds and then turns off. I've cleaned the central control panel board but I have no way of checking it's ok (no visible liquid damage, reset seems to work, multimeter reports power into the board)

Done a VCDS optical system scan this morning and the only two things that come up are:


19-CAN Gateway, Electrical OK, optical ERROR
07-Control Head/High(D3), Electrical OK, optical ERROR

Can somebody suggest some things to check? Is it still worth me isolating the other components as it seems the error is between the gateway and the control head?

Removed the glove box and can see another unit that is attached to the central pillar. Managed to unplug the optic lead and do a loop and that caused no change. I am guessing the control head is somewhere else?
