MMI on Q5 - Next to gearstick / Next to Air Con?

Hi

Quick question

Noticed that some Q5s have the MMI controls next to the gear stick

Audi Q5 2.0 TDI QUATTRO 170 S LINE 5DR [HUGE SPEC] 2009

But some have the controls on the dashboard, next to the aircon

Why is that? Was there a change in config at some point?

No

A Q5 with controls on the dash are non navigation, radio only cars with can bus communications and are equipped with concert or symphony radio and the possibly telephone and aux or Ipod interfaces as options

A Q5 with controls around the gear lever are MOST based MMI systems with navigation low or high spec. They can also have TV, rear camera, 6 CD changer, Ipod, telephone as options.

Same for A4/A5 with B8 chassis.
