MMI Screen Issue: dotted grid

Hi all. Another potential issue. Has anyone else seen this?

My screen seems to have a dotted grid which is visible with light colours on screen. It appears when using the Audi interface and CarPlay, so must be the screen.

Picture not great but does just about show up.

Might be that I need to reset the MMI. How is that done on the 8Y?

Hi, hold the power button on the volume wheel next to the gear selector for about 30 secs

I'm no expert about what kind of screen is used for the MMI, but those dots could be the sensors for the capacitive touch to locate where you're touching the screen. I'm guessing they're visible under certain light conditions. Can you change the Carplay wallpaper to something darker?

That would be my guess too.
