Mot claw back

I got mot extension through the lockdown so it was done in march this year instead of october. Last year Got reminder in that its due again this october.
Checked dvla to be true .
So it falls back in line with original mot.

Just checked my folks cars and it’s due exactly a year from the last mot which was the extended ones

Wonder what the criteria is for this claw back?
That’s 4 cars I’ve checked and they all expire a year from the extension

I had mine done May 2019... Then due to Covid, it was done 16 November 2020.. now gov.uk says expiry is 6 December 2021

Mines getting sorted theres been an admin error somewhere so im not being forced to have an mot 6 months from last date its all good
