This was the average over 50 wet track miles, in the morning dry session the RS3 did 7 mpg (real rather than DIS figure), still way better than the 4 mpg average of 400 bhp Evo IX I once owned!
I was averaging 28 mpg over 8000 miles, that has dropped to 26 mpg overall after 12000 miles due to a range of fun activities.

This was after a 110 mile motorway journey in heavy but smoothly moving traffic. It is very impressive how the RS3 can blend both performance and efficiency!
Blimey dbm, you're better than me with that Photoshop... Where did you get that 'three' from? Every time I hit 'three' I always get a '2' - see what I mean... Well done you and yours... That's a VERY impressive MPG.
