Now you need to update your sig !!!

Wondered where you'd got to. Take it the S4 has gone back????

Certainly one of the best colours I've seen on an RS3 along with the blue. Sounds fantastic with proper pipes on her.

So now you've got one, new car feel aside, is it worth it's premium over the S3? We had a good hard think about one when we changed from our grey 8P2, but the increase in monthly outlay was nealy 50% more on Audi finance than S3 of a similar spec so in the end we decided to pocket the £250 extra a month it would have costs, get another new S3 and go back to Revo Stage 2+.

Looks stunning mate, and don't be a stranger!!!!

Hey mate!

S4 kept me busy until now. I've pretty much removed all the suspension mods on that car BUT have revo'd it about 2 weeks ago. My wife uses the car daily and she continuously complained about the car being too low lol!

With regards to the RS3 and having owned a S3 as you know, i reckon all that's special is the transmission and motor as well as the lightweight front fenders. When i took delivery i honestly pondered as to whether i should keep or sell the car due to the fact that the interior being pretty much the same as my S3. The S4 however is a special place to be in comparison and i think that too played a huge part in my disappointment. Acceleration on the RS3 is blistering especially when using LC...sounds even more menacing with the zorst now installed. With only 50 units in SA, i decided keep it and start playing with it. Now i reckon (apart from the interior) she is a special car. Was she worth the premium over a S3? Nah don't think so at all...Thank heavens the S4 is still there so every time i feel i need some luxury i happily take the keys from her and keep my RS3 keys safely in my pocket LOL!

Really appreciate the candid feedback. My rear diff and clutch went in my 8P2 S3 and Audi had the car for 4 weeks. In that time I had an A6 Le Mans and a Q7 and when I got back in the S3 it felt a bit reedy and thin! Still very nice against its competition, but starting to succumb to age in places.

Love the sound DSG gives to the zorst note, just mental!!

Enjoy them both mate, lovely cars, and even more special on 20's!

Sweet, very very nice. S3's don't really do it for me  but that looks as different as night and day.

And confirms that BBS CH wheels are the best wheels in the world

Your RS3 sounds amazing. Are you happy with REVO? I am trying to decide whether i should go with REVO, FRC or MPH. On most forums in SA, people are saying FRC is better. I suppose they are the 1's who used FRC. Any info would be really appreciated. Thanks Elias

Me along with my 2 partners run revo technik SA. My opinion would be totally biased :)

If there is one thing I've learned in 20 years of modifying cars and over 10 years on forums the only repsonse you'll ever get to that question will lack any sense of objectivity.

If people said anything other than their OWN map they're basically saying I chose like an idiot, so they'll back it to the hilt not knowing if something else is better.

You wouldn't buy a car without test driving it, so my challenge these days is to say to people get a test drive in one, even as a passenger you'll tell quality from the mediocre.

I've had 4 different brands of maps over the years (all supposedly premium and some upto a grand a pop), and Ive passengered in almost all the others and I am almost certain I know which brand gives your Audi most soul, but go out there and try for yourself, it's the best option when youre buying a premium brand map for a prestige vehicle.

I know its Shaun, I was joking, your saying the seats are over priced, yet you just spent how much on the car

Not sure what they shaft you okes over there but on this side those seats are close on 4000 pounds! Also they weren't available as an option for our cars and to be honest, i like the way they look but they are **** uncomfortable!

thanks for the post. im just thinking if i wan to spend that extra £250 a month over the S3. I really want the engine and sound it give over the S3. I just wish they gave it 5 cylinders too. Is one cylinders worth 10k?

N8 has a valid point with the seats.... If you're gonna spend extra on an rs3 it makes no sense to cheap out on the interior.. IMO It should have buckets and exclusive quilting and control elements.. A lot of people have said they don't think the rs3 has that "special feel" and if you don't go further than the basic spec it is definitely missing something. The seats are lovely - I tried them the other day to keep me going while waiting for my RS, only thing I wish was that they'd offer them in alcantara like they do in Germany! It is a very close second place for me in terms of rs models (first being the rs2 of course) as none of the bigger ones come close enough in terms of performance.
And the reason the s4 feels so well equipped and luxurious - because it's a barge that weighs 300,000,000 tonnes!

Nice RS3, I got mine in daytona grey, did not go for the buckets as on touring and and day to day they are restrictive well I wish I could swap them on a daily basis!
I did not go for the aluminium race inlays, so in two minds as the cabin is pretty dark!
As for whoever says the cabins don't look special look at the RS3 on the speedo and the door sill.
Its not just S-pecial its R-eally S-pecial

Two badges do feck all for me I'm afraid, its the fifth cylinder I'd like most. Stunning engine.

Thanks for sharing Rabbit, I absolutely love it.

A small update or 2 :)

Car was fitted with H&R coilovers and ARBs as well as roof rails...

Superb photos, loving the RS in grey. With the 20's it looks stunning with that drop, sits so well on the road.

How was she on track?

Thanks Warren. She handled very well. Had the ARBs set up to soft front and rear which made her more balanced in the twisties....I won my class and out shined the Scooby STI that thought he could LOL!

Go rabbit! Bet that's handling lovely with the arb's and coils.. Nice to see someone tuning an rs3 - such a great platform with that engine. How's the Revo stage 1 map? any feedback, any issues?

Cheers mate.

Map is awesome although a work in progress. We had an issue with the car not boosting as much as it should at altitude but that has since been resolved. Next up is FMIC and water meth....

I'd be well interested to see a FMIC for this.. Will it be a bit of a squeeze getting it in? Plus waiting to see what is coming in the way of intakes - I love the sound of yours with the milltek, but I also loved your S3 chatter due to the cone type filter, with re-circ? All that seems to be available that I can find is the ITG (which for the 2.5l is definitely closed type CAI). Great for performance, but I just love the sound of intakes both sucking and chattering!!! Bet the RS3 would sound epic!

looking good really want the roof rails on mine but dont know if i could bring myself to drill into a 45k car
