Replace! Give it a wash!
You mean the wheels? I had just washed it in pics, apart from the wheels. Not the best, granted, but they were taken on an iphone.
I had just driven from Wales to Scotland, and although the mpg isnt as good as my last car (E90 320d M-Sport), I had a ****** big smile on my face!!!! Its definately Smiles per mile with the S3!!!!;)

I think he means replace the pics once you've given it a wash :)

<3 Sprint Blue S3's - looking good - did you manage to get your problems sorted?

I pick mine up this Friday, been a difficult wait :)

Its going to VAG Specialists on Monday. Its an electrical fault stopping my Aircon etc working, so hopefully all fixed soon.

Nice car pal! Makes me miss my silver/black combo leather :blink::blink:

Refurb the wheels (far cheaper) and get it detailed. Can you get rid of the window tints?

The car was clean in the pics. Just not the wheels. I wouldnt wanna take off the tints. It looks far better with them!

Sprint Blue is for winners. Good work fella.

Looks good fella and in my favourite colour:wub: If your gonna replace the wheels whats your budget?
I know a place you can get your wheel done Start to Finish on Newport road behide Kwick Fit. Ask for Scott & tell him i sent you done will sort you out. Also think the tints look good.
You will have to take me for a quick spin when i see you :laugh:

So you got the brochure then fella??:detective2:.

Ive never been a fan of the stock S3 rims and a good refurb job is £250-300.

Get yourself a nice set of used BBS CH or CKs (£500-600) and sell the OEMS (£200). Transforms the look of the car for £400 tops.
Thats what I did.

Cheers
Paul

Yeah defo mate. Im not sure on a budget. Really just testing the water. Me being new to the VAG scene, I dont know how much decent alloys cost! General consensus is that BBS are the best choice!

Not got the brochure yet mate as Im up in Scotland for a few days.
Thats the thing, do i spend money refurbing them, or just spend a wee bit more and buy a new set of rims???
You usually get a better deal for wheels and tyres dont you? Wheres the cheapest place to buy BBS then?

Aw thats fair enough well depending what size 18 or 19 price can vary but seen some 18 ch genuine on ebay few days ago for £750 but no tyres. And they were mint.
Check pistonheads, Edition 38 and ebay. Put what alloys you want in your sig and members will keep an eye out for you. BBS are always a win. I'll have a search aswell for you see if i can find any

Since people were saying my car wasnt clean last time, I washed and polished it again!
Here are the new pics:

Looks good mate. Come october, I'll be selling my summer rims, a staggered set of Speedlines, Mr Luke Oakleys old ones ;)

Looks great mate.
Excellent colour ;)

I love the tints too. Goes perfectly against the Sprint Blue.

Never been a fan of the original S3 OEM rims either.
I think save some money and upgrade when you can... Enjoy the ride mate.

Kudos for colour coding the Mrs with the car:icon_thumright:

Nice car, I like sprint looks great in the sun! BBS are faves amongst the A3/S3 drivers, but there are a vast array of OEM wheels that will fit and look nice too. Good luck with whatever you go with, throw up some pics when you get some new hoops.

There's a bargain RNS-E on the ebay finds thread, here's a link:

It's the older version, but that's a good deal all the same!

Very nice S3. Just wondering did you buy this from Williams Motors on Penarth road because they had a Sprint Blue S3 few weeks back.

yeah thats what i was wondering... williams or main dealer.. i ended up in bristol audi who did me a pretty good deal.
like the colour coding... i'm thinking of dying my hair sprint blue!

No its not from Williams. Although I did look there and fancied the GTR they had for sale. Funds wouldnt stretch that far unfortunately!

Hi All!

Just update to show you all what I've been up to. Well now Ive managed to cover the B Pillars as the Laquer on one side had started to peel.

Any plans to trim steering wheel? Likes a bit roasted......
No its fine (low miles on car), its just that I used leather wipes on it which makes everything look SHINY and the fact that it was very sunny and I have a crap camera phone.

Looking good dude, facelift buttons and heater unit ftw :)
