What is it with people that give their cars names (usually birds)???

And why do some people refer to their car as he or she???

It's a lump of metal and plastic!!!!

The last three letters of my Golf's number plate is "FCR"

I call it the Fscker (give or take).

Cars are, without doubt, the most beautiful things ever created by man.
They have character, personalities... even 2 cars with exactly the same spec are different.

Even ugly cars need love. :sly:
 
Well I'm gonna get flamed for this I know...

But to answer you question why Cars are called she..

They don't work and have "Hissy Fits" or Breakdowns..

They don't do as they are told...

Constantly taking all your hard earned Wonga..

And purr when you treat them nice....

Does that sound familiar?

my cars have always been bitches. no daft names tho' i normally refer to it as "the beast"

my mother always names her cars, the latest is a Ka which is called Katy, before was a fiesta called Fifi, a granada called Gertrude she's ****** mad i tell you... even names the blackbirds that live in the garden!!????
 
Cars are all an 'it', end of.
 
I've only named one of my cars, the B5 2.8 Quattro I sold last year. The registration letters were FUD, so obviously, the car was called Elmer.
