Hi, so I had this problem for a while with my B5 1.6 97'. When the car idles, RPMs would start to drop and a lot of white smoke comes out. Hold the gas a bit and it disappears, the smoke and the RPM drops. And recently, when driving, the car sometimes starts jerking. So I found someone who has proper diagnostic tools and do the diagnostic for me. They told me that the problem is with my MAF sensor, sometimes the signal just drops from it and I should check the sensor itself or the harness. Obviously, I could've just asked them to fix it, but I wanted to try and do that myself. So I found this video : . Turned the ignition on and started looking for the voltage supply wire. I think it was the third (the green one) and it only gave me a 0.02v reading. So I'm guessing the problem is with the harness, but how should I proceed from here? Visually I can't see that the wiring would be damaged somewhere. Or either I'm looking at all this wrong.

Thanks in advance.
