I like this bit...

They include checking if brake pads or discs are missing.......

I think if the pads or discs were missing it might have failed the old MOT on the brake test anyway

I saw a video on Facebook recently where a mechanic was working on a car and the owner had worn through the brake pads and through the calipers!
They were able to snap pieces off using a screwdriver as they were so thin!
