New A5 Black Edition Owner

Hi Guys,

Picked up my 14 plate A5 Black Edition over the weekend and absolutely loving it. First new car ever and a massive upgrade for me.

I've been thinking about getting a remote start system installed as I leave very early in the morning and always short for time so would be good to remote start the car, get ready, jump in and drive off - especially in the winter months.

Has anyone had this installed? any recommendations? The car has keyless entry installed - not sure if that makes a difference.

You can have Auxiliary heating retrofitted so the car interior is warm before you get into it but remote engine start is more of an aftermarket alarm thing that you would get from a company like Cobra or Clifford.

Hi Guys, thanks for the responses. Managed to find a local approved Clifford specialist to fit this in for £300. Does that sound about right. I was expecting it to be more but happy with this. I can use my existing Audi key, press the lock button 3 times and it will start the engine up (and keep the door locked obviously). I think this is great for the winter months when its freezing outside. Walk into a pre-warmed car. Quite excited to get this fitted actually.

I could be interested in Auxiliary heating for my S5 SB is this possible and how much would it cost?
