Hi All

Just introducing myself. I have been a member for years as I used to have a 3.2 V6 A3 but have been a company car driver so not had any toys for a while. Have just opted out and purchased myself a 66 plate BiTdi Avant.

Have to say, I am very impressed. Coming from a 520D M Sport (put the power aside) the ride is smoother and the car has a real feel of quality.

The theres the engine. I am pleased with the way it goes but may remap it in a year when the Audi warranty runs out. Obviously I put the exhaust into Dynamic before I left the dealer and don’t intend on ever switching it off!

Same for me so far. Wife managed 42mpg on a 45 min motorway drive this aft. Most i’ve seen is 35 with a mixed run.

i came from a skoda VRS with a spider box - it did make a significant difference

have you changed the MPG coefficient in the MMI to maintain accuracy?

No I haven't. I wouldn't have a clue where to start

I'd advocate extending the warranty over a remap... See my turbo thread.

Mines under warranty for 12 months but I would consider an Extended warranty just incase of something like that as I do 25k per year. However, I don’t think I would be able to do any mods then which would be a shame

Hi All

Just a little update a week in. Invested in a Carista and made a couple of tweaks

- Start/Stop remember last state (off!!)
- Needle sweep on

Gonna turn rear DRL’s on when I get a sec

Have to say I am so impressed with the car. Love the exhaust sound and, coming from a RWD BMW 5 Series, I am impressed with the grip of the Quattro. That coupled with the grunt of the twin turbo engine is resulting in more smiles per gallon than miles per gallon even in this miserable weather!!

Mike
