i had a new battery put on my 06 2.0 tdi yesterday and as i pulled away noticed i had no brakes and a very hard brake peddle. battery was then removed and then reinstalled. i now have brakes but the brake peddle is now spongy. any ideas?

Im sure the brake servo is next to battery compartment. Make sure the air pipe hasnt been pulled off accidently

Don't ever let anyone from Halfrauds touch your car. You could have potentially had an accident because of their handywork.

Do i now need bleed my brakes?

Dont have to bleed brakes...... i started life at halfords. We arent all bad definetly worth a complaint to store manager. But having said that a good driver always tests brakes on set off to make sure they have some
