new boy with some questions

hi all
im new here but have been browsing for a while. As of yet i havent got an audi but am looking at the 2.0. Dunno which model to go for though, i want a 3door with a lot of power and good handling (dont know if they do the quattro for the 2.0) as i said im new to audis (only 20 on the 14th) hopefully next year about march time. any tips would be wikad. also looking a body kits (bit premature i know but i wana see what is out there) i like the JE Design kit with a few mds to the spoiler wot do you guys think?? see the attached pic or http://www.dahlbackracing.se/english/main.asp (go to audi-a3-styling)

would love to buy it. 3.2 ltrs does apeal to me greatly but atm financial restrictions (christmas and [censored] job) mean i cant afford it or the insurance, hope u find a buyer real soon though looks a real nice car.

how much do you plan to pay for your 2.0T?
I am not sure it will be much lower than 22.5k?
maybe it is I dont know

yeah something like that but im not plannig on getting one till march (im hopefully gona have joind the police by then) on the audi uk website its about £22,645.00 new. if i seriously had the funds now then i would make u an offer and rob a bank for the insurance!! can audi supply and fit the vortex kit? (i only ask as ures is under warranty) or is it better to buy and fit it elsewhere?

I am actually going back to France in March and am just selling it now because i dont want to spend money on it in mods and it is getting harder and harder by the day as i scroll this forum fairly frequently and I get tempted every 5min reading what others did

Both the body kit and the wheels are not manufactured by audi but they ARE accessories from the A3 brochure so Audi fits them and they are covered under he warranty

I personnaly think that the A3 really needs both 18'' wheels and the front spoiler
then lowering it is good too

i agree totally.
im hopefully gonna stick a set of movens on mine (i saw the post about them on here and love the 5 spokes) well if u havent sold it by the time i get in the police then i may just have to go for a 3.2ltr, my mate has a 1.6 8l and currently beats my current car (1.6 escort /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif dont laugh too hard)i wana wipe the smile off his face with my next car.

If you are buying new try www.broadspeed.com they have good discounts as for the bodykits i like this one

that is a very nice kit. i do like the vortex kit, i agree with you about it needing to be subtile.

i was planning on geting it chipped and uprating the cams, induction kit, exhausts the usual /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I had a 1.8t golf with a jabba chip on and a speedtech pipe it made 240bhp on their rolling road,but cos of the induction kit that had been on the air flow metre wasnt working properly and it kept on holding back to 160bhp then spiking up again.Moral of the story dont mess about to much with airflow.With it being a turbo i wouldnt bother too much with the cams either you'll get plenty of power out of a chip and a pipe.

also one of the reasons that i wanted an induction kit is that i think it looks better than an air box, but if im gonna loose power then ill keep it.

I dont really know how much power you'll get my car was a bit of a freek (gave good power without too much effort)If you get an induction kit thats free from oil you should be ok as long as it doesnt get its supply from the engine bay(too hot).I was told that the companys spend thousands on airflow why mess about with it.

i'll remember that, isn't the warm air problem solved by a cold air intake? one other thing do u know where on the net i can get the vortex kit as ive been looking and i cant find one
