I'm looking to get my car detailed before collection in June and never had it done with an outside detailer.

I will be collecting from Shrewsbury Audi and I've put a post on the detailing section of the forum but not many people have experiences with detailers in the area.

Does anyone have any experience with detailers in the Shropshire area?

I've made a couple of enquiries and come across this - http://autogleamcarvaleting.co.uk/autogleam-seal/

Does this look like what is usually done on new cars? I'm really in the dark when it comes to paint correction on new car detailing...

Kowalski Details are up in Salford, a drive I know, but very good at what he does.

Go onto a site detailing world and look for detailers in your area on that forum that are advertised.

Thanks all, this guy is offering the new car detail for £125. A little worried about the cheap price - http://autogleamcarvaleting.co.uk/autogleam-seal/

He's registered to the pro-valets so I guess he's legit!
@Vins - That does sound VERY cheap for a Detail to me

I do note that there is no machine polishing the deal. In my experience if you want a new car DEtaiuling properly there will at least have to ne a light machine polish to get rid of the free dealer supplied marring/swirls

Have a look at the mess this VW main dealer made of this brand new Golf R! Shocking!:eek::eek:

This may be of some help for pricing, as most Detailers offer similar'ish pricing scales

For example - All Gtechniq Uk Accredited Detailers charge the same price as set by Gtechniq themselves

Might be worth having a look here

id have to agree with this, i used Chris who runs Total Detailing International up in South Shields. He did a custom treatment for me, as i just wanted the exterior doing in the (new at the time) Gtechniq Crystal Serum. well worth the money but I've seen cars with the C1 Crystal Lacquer done too. Brilliant stuff. i topped up with 2 applications of C2 Liquid Crystal. It lasts 8 months (similar to waxing i guess) but i think its better. i applied the first coats in may last year, then another top up coat just before winter. i think you're definitely on the right track wanting to protect from new, as its better to prevent damage than repair it IMHO

It really depends on what your after in terms of last stage protection.
Totally agree on getting the car done straight away to get proper protection.
If you just want to do a maintenance wash every week then g techniq or likes is for you.
If u want to go down the wax route then it's a bit of a waste in my eyes.
Dependant if you are planning to keep the car for the foreseeable future then I'd advise getting a film applied to the front end to stop stone chips.
Nothing worse than seeing your pride and joy with white primer under the paint

A mate of mine has taken various cars to Barry (Auto-detox) and he does a fantastic job. Definitely worth paying a little more for a proper detail.
