Just bought a B8 S4 Avant, and planning some new purchases to go with it:

Rubber mats & boot liner
Dog guard
Roof bars & box (tbc)
Honeycomb grill (tbc)
Fit private plate
Stage 1 map (tbc)

any recommendations (particularly for mats/boot liner & dog guard)?

what essentials would you consider once you’ve bought a new car?

First tank of fuel complete!
Coming from a BMW 130i the car feels a lot more grown up - comfortable, absorbs road bumps far better and the acceleration/speed comes round quicker than you think. Enjoying the pan roof!

Need to get tracking sorted as slight left pull, as well wobble/vibration through steering wheel at 70-ish which I reckon will just mean wheels need rebalancing.

what essentials would you consider once you’ve bought a new car?

Recently got aB8.5 Avant. Got the boot liner and replaced the grills, wrapped the trims on the exterior and got a vinyl sticker to go over the stop start button.

I kept the OEM mats that came with the car but just scrubbed them so they look good.

For me the best you can do is take a day to open the bonnet give it a good clean and dress and wash the exterior and clean the interior and put your own air freshener in it

Clean up of the engine bay is good shout, do you use anything specific products, or just water and elbow grease?

Depending on mileage, a new crank pulley.
Also depending on mileage, service history and type of gearbox - a gearbox service.

How much would a gearbox service be?
Any recommendations for London/Surrey area?
Is crank pulley an upgrade that would go hand in hand with a remap?
