Just ordered my new car from the states, after a year and a half of looking for one.
Managed to get my ideal colour (Indigo Blue) with ruby red alcantara seats.
Can’t wait until the car ships from Texas.

I've never understood the fascination with American cars in the UK. Our roads aren't designed for these fat a$$ cars and their performance (in relation to engine size and handling) and build quality is dire.

485bhp as stock. With the bonnet and the Cold Air Kit, it will push it to 510bhp.

Maybe true of cars of old but things have changed drastically in the last 10 years or so. You obviously don’t keep up to speed on cars over there or have driven any. Having come from fast Audis, BMW’s and Subaru’s I was very suprised when I drive them. The big engines these days produce: 500 / 717 / 830……hardly small horsepower for the size of the engines. They handle pretty well most of them and build quality has come on leaps and bounds from the days of old. Better than an Audi?…….probably not but not far behind most European premium brands these days. I still have my Audi A3 for daily driving.
But given the choice of the latest Audis:
- S4/S4 not only available as a diesel
- S3/RS3 Ugly as sin with the ****** big underbite!
Not to mention the competition:
- Golf GTi/R Ugly with a boring interior
- BMW’s with that ridiculous grille
- Mercs with dodgy build quality, fake leather and boring looks
There’s not much choices of nice looking Euro cars these days, and with the demise of petrol cars in a few years to come, now is the time to get your fix of big V8 cars. Certainly don’t knock them until you’ve tried them……I was pleasantly suprised myself!

Nope it certainly won’t. I have 2 other American V8’s as well as my Audi. Just love the sound of a good V8! Can’t beat it!

Ooooohhhh yes! The import bill would make your eyes water! Still a lot cheaper than buying one from the con artists that are the UK Import Dealers though!!!

In the US I’m sure this is branded as the Chevrolet Caprice with the LS1 motor from the Corvette. Absolute beast of a saloon, and yes, built and designed in Australia. Can pick up the ex-Police ones for really cheap.

American V8 always get the looks, well any V8 does TBF. Big improvements from "The US of A" and if Freddie Flintoff absolutely loves his RHD Camaro then it cant be all bad.

Yeah remote start. Also puts on air con, seat air con/heat, heated seats steering wheel etc depending on outside temps.
