Hi everyone! I have bought an Audi A7, CTCC, FWD, 3.0 tdi, 64 reg. I bought this car with an engine problem. I replaced the engine, it starts and working fine. Except driving it. The car wouldn’t move and the faults on VCDS was gearbox malfunction. I soon found out that the gearbox fitted on the car was not compatible. Audi said I need a PHV gearbox, and from whole PHV range only a few part numbers would be compatible. The gearbox I have on the car is a DGH code. I have been searching for this PHV gearbox for 3 weeks now, I can’t find it anywhere, I had people trying to scam me too. I do know a little bit about mechanic and not so much about electric and automatic gearboxes. I was wondering whether the gearbox is just the shell, and the mechatronic unit is the one that does the job. Would it be possible to use the DGH gearbox with the right mechatronic, and do a re flush? I am making hundreds of scenarios in my head and some of the specialist gearbox providers I have enquired don’t even know where to find the gearbox part number. I am lost, don’t even know who to trust or believe anymore, I hear different opinions from different people. I would truly appreciate every piece of information or advice you could provide.
