New Order

After recently hearing of the expense involved with the diamond cut alloys, I am considering one if the following options:

1) - Fit alloygators for £120. They look OK, and seem to serve there purpose. Are they likely to last 3 or 4 years though?

2) - Take out the tyre and alloy insurance at £399

3) - Do none of the above, and hope I can keep the alloys in good condition as current ones are, and if I do scrape them, pay out around £100?

What would everyone's opinion be? I am swaying towards option 2. Especially after seeing a brand new alloy was the outcome of one poster.

If you're talking about Audi's alloy insurance then when I collected my A3 they asked if I wanted it and when I said no they reduced it to £150.
