Aup,

So i've been a silent observer on the forum for a while but thought id introduce myself as a new purchase happened this week and wanted peoples advise.

I owned a 3.0 Quattro sport saloon on an 09 plate a few years ago and loved the model but changed direction with company cars so never got back to it.

Last year i stuck 2 fingers up to my employer and set out on my own with limited budget and options so bought myself an Audi A6 Allroad 2.5 V6 Quattro on a 55 plate. Bought her for £1300 and had very few problems. Cost me for a water pump and a cam belt kit at the same time, a new suspension pump but that's about it. Really love this car shifts like **** off a shovel and looks great when its clean.

So this week i fancied an upgrade and got hold of a newer Allroad - A6 Allroad 2.7 quattro on an 08 plate. Its fully loaded and my god driving both cars back from the dealer with my Bro we could tell the build quality of the newer model was awesome. I've had her a couple of days and absolutely love the drive and power but.... im already planning what mods i want to do so here goes my list:

Larger 19" Rotor wheels with low profiles
Window tints on the back windows
Angel Eye Xenon headlights with daytime running lights
Wind deflectors
Celtic engine Remap

Not loads of mods but enough to improve performance and the overall aesthetic of the car which i personally think is awesome and can only improve that little bit with these mods.

i would your guys input on my mods and thoughts would always be welcome. Cheers.

hi I have an 07 Allroad, I decided not to get tints but got Sonniboy Sun Shades instead - Amazon product think is that these dont have the join in the middle of the rear window as opposed to other makes/brands.

May seem expensive but cheaper than having tints.

Have done the following to date:

  1. Booked in to HazzyDayz to get FL LED Xenon head lights and tow hook fitted.
  2. Also I purchased a BlueFin and its an easy upgrade with excellent Torque improvement which is safe.
  3. Have fitted some internal LEDs and have just ordered some LED indicators from Trups
  4. Another great mod is fitting LED number plate units - they are genuine Audi LED number plate lights and cost just over £30 for the pair, and they are fully error free. Part numbers are 4H0 943 021 and 4H0 943 022.

Wow... Looking at the links the xenon were pricey and most of the other mods look worth while.

Yeh - I wanted OE parts as there was a period of cheap imitation headlights on the web where the LED part failed and there was no way of accessing the LED part so it was a case of purchase another headlight. As I have Xenon-plus headlights I wanted to ensure that it all worked etc. besides that they give you 24 months warranty. The parts they use are all Audi/VAG sourced which was another consideration - but alas the down side of it all is the cost - but hey still cheaper than selling up and buying a newer model with it all on.
