Hello!

You should post it also in the 8V RS3 section.

Love the power delivery of your kit!

or maybe not :)

Nice one but this is a OEM Borgwarner Upgrade "HYBRID" turbo. Is yours not a Garrett GTX 3076R with water meth and at 2.2 BAR & 109 race fuel... http://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/unique-project-for-sale-644-hp-772-nm.309466/

Yours looks more laggy if comparing but nice result. Any 100-200 time ?

I feel we maybe could beat your numbers on 109 with this Hybrid

Edit : (We are using the more accurate EEC-80-1269 EWG measurement not DIN 70020 like your dyno also I see. Figures would be higher with DIN ).

I need more info on the TTE11XX.

I understand going the TTE500 - as we need minimal supporting mods. If im going to the trouble of building the engine - I might as well go for the TT11xx rather then the TTE625.

Would love to see how they stack up and some numbers!!

Gtx3576 and xona rotor are more responsive and spool quicker than this hybrid turbo on 99ron whilst making more power

Let's be honest you Jason you are well known to hate hybrids and you troll all over social media. I don't really care about your negative thoughts tbh that's why I do block you as I just don't need it.

But I know from the past your an ok guy lol

It's not been tested on 99ron. Your claim is not proven as yet but in time we will see. The results we have seen are great in my opinion and by the scale of requests and positive comments, many think it's looking good also.

Maybe you're right let's see

What is it like on an otherwise standard car? I was doing some reading a while back about a guy who had loba 500p kit on his car...put it back to standard including putting the map back to standard, so totally standard except for the 500p turbocharger...he said it surprised him how great it performed on his TT RS with the standard map.

My gtx3576 had peak torque at 3250rpm, ashleys ims730 on a 72lb/min turbo has peak torque around that rpm too.

I dont mind hybrids, but you cant exactly throw out blanket statements like that and not expect someone to pipe up.

Plus Chuck 102ron on my map and we could advance timing even more and spool even earlier.

Yeah just happened to be you piping up a... Blanket statement... You mean the fact its a record power for a hybrid as the question?

All those figures you quote Jason are on race developments heavily modded motors with head work that's widely accepted has improved spool and one of the major selling points of Tim packages. I also don't believe you're peak torque quotes as I've seen Ashleys and seen it run times, id think you can add 500 rpm to that. Tims motors start at 10k £ I think right?

Figures shared by me are on stock heads and just springs fitted not built by a motor specialist, but by the car owner

Don't over estimate 102 as we and MRC have tested back to back the same car and very little in it.

We will have real data, not your theories soon as MRC are mapping them on 99 and i will share for all to see.

Do remember the results I shared was limited as i stated due to the HPFP not keeping up because it did spool so fast. It was the first prototype and test of the hybrid so i feel things can only improve as most all packages and even software does over time.

I think to compare is like comparing apples and oranges.. both taste nice

Honestly no idea and id not recommend it really.

It being a record or not is not the dispute.

You said it outspools big turbo setups. Which is incorrect.

My dyno sheet, peak torque at 3250rpm, ignore the torque spike of the boost hit. Map it for 102 and it would spool earlier and id have another 30hp on top.

Each octane point accounts for 10-12hp on these motors with this turbo setup.

Hybrid record it might be, but outspool a proper turbo kit sized for the same power level as your tte625 it does not. If i ran a EFR or xona id probably gain another 250rpm in spool.

Ashleys car has peak torque at 3500rpm on a 720hp capable turbo. He ran out of fuel at 670hp and is running a safe 630hp on 99 ron till he upgrades his fuelling system.

And again your figures are on RD motors with head work.

Ok let's change it too..Out spools many BT setups if on like for like setups. The quote proper turbo kit makes me laugh

Your ideas on power to RON imo are wrong as I've seen data to say different.

You can bang on about yours and Ashley figures but the actual performance on this Rs3 TTE625 is 6.0 corrected 100-200 and in over weight trim, this says the real performance.
Put this same turbo on a lighter and more aero TTRS and we all know that 6.0 will drop deep into the 5's and go deep 10 sec in the 1/4 mile that's certain.

TTRS TTE500 have gone 10 sec 1/4 mile at Santa pod

RS3 TTE625 100-200 KMH (62-124MPH)

RS3 TTE625 30-320+ KMH (18-198+MPH)

Few videos there, please share yours and Ashley data as know you both have vbox and any videos to compare?

Why does a proper turbo kit make you laugh? It wasnt a reference to the TTE range, merely that those laggy BT setups you think of are poorly specced, like that so called 700hp rs3 on its oversized turbo getting shat on by stock bmw m6 v8tt's

Gtx3576 on a dsg car does it in 5.6 secs
Gtx3576 on a manual car does it in 5.8 secs

Typically the extra weight of the rs3 over a ttrs adds 0.2 of a sec on a 100-200kmh run.

99 ron no WMI.

Is there vbox data on the 30-320kmh run? I find 100-200 data sample too small these days

Made me laugh as I recall same stuff years ago when you was pro APR big turbo kits and I was selling 500 hybrids and it was said there's no way it can do 500 (I think Jonny) . But yeah I know what you mean turbos have evolved, BT and hybrids and long may it continue.

You maybe forgotten but our dyno and data figures is using sport cat and stock airbox as car is fully legal for TUV. I do think the 630 it did will be beaten in uk as will the torque and spool possibly. Although temps will play a part. I did read MTR saying only few days ago that he mapped it safe too and more in it.

The times you shared are not yours and Ashley's though a ?

Not sure on data on the 320 run I think the Rs3 brick aero plays big part say too a TTRS at those speeds

Vbox my car now would be pointless as its no longer on a gtx3576.

Those times however are from cars 100% identical spec to what I use to have though.

At the end of the day like you have said everything has moved on and I hope TTE625 gets released for general sale soon as I have friends waiting on it, and it will be better when we all go across europe when they have that. Being outfront on your own gets boring lol

Ok but you made that point few posts back on spool and I addressed... Its cool.

But Jason, sorry but you're incorrect with your blanket statement (now removed)regarding shoe horning bigger wheel into a turbo and other points as if it was so simple and not efficient or effective to modify turbos. All turbos can be altered and may be improved, that's the case for factory race teams and motorsport, in general, you don't just pick a standard turbo one off the shelf in most part if you're serious. id say many world records and top performing Motorsport cars are from running modified custom turbos in one way or another to suit the application as said be it motorsport frame turbo or oem factory type. Remember we also do motorsport frame turbos not only as TTE but for others behind closed doors.

Anyway let's wait on results from others

Here is a statement from Tim only very recently in your owned FB group the owner of Race Delvelomenmts talking about his head work that you and Ashley have on your cars. As i said if true hardly comparable as do improve spool and if as stated a great deal to our stock head results but nevertheless interesting.

Heres hanks view on it:

I would prefer to have Ashley's graph above IMS710 on 99 vs the Aral 102 TTE625. Same spool, more power, ball bearing cartridge for longevity and thrust loads, along with bigger A/R for lower EGTs. The 625 is certainly impressive, but this idea that Hybrid spool and response can't be achieved with modern, ball bearing turbos in proper full frame packages is completely false.

Anyway did my first 100-200kmh run last night.

640hp @ 1.5 bar boost
Manual transmission
99 ron v power no WMI.
Raining and syvecs TC pulling engine torque to prevent wheelspin

Did a 5.6 100-200kmh.

Will do some runs in the dry when the ecu wont pull power and run my full fat antilag map too, and perhaps try it with rolling boost also. Looking like I could do a anywhere between a 5.2 and 5.4 in the right conditions.

Not bad for a 640hp manual car. 4.x on the table for sure once i get a better intercooler and we boost it over 2 bar

I said it over and over above, good to see now see's 102ron as I.

I'm told also has no Vbox so not sure where the 5.6 100-200 came from, maybe another device or estimated.

Aoon still hating.

I tried aral 102 at the Nurburgring, found it gained us no extra timing. My tuner said the fuel was ****, more like our 98/99.

Spoke to some other german guys they said they found german shell better than aral 102. Doug at mrc said his cars drove worse ok aral 102.

But then we had someone else come along and swear that he added loads of extra timing to his tune over uk v-power.

All ive concluded for sure is that the aral 102 sold around the Nurburgring isnt 102, and what someone else said also made sense. Aral 102 is 10 cents a liter cheaper than german v-power.

Anyway that aside heres my results. 650hp
