Hmmm, I wouldn't be so sure. Did you see the article in Autocar about the Q3 RS? They said that as Audi wants to significantly increase the sales of their RS cars so they are going to substantially shorten the timescales when RS versions are released. Not sure if the new RS3 will be the first to benefit but they said Audi want RS versions on sale around 6 months after launching new models....
