My 2018 A7 is going to need 4 new boots soon.

It currently has 255/35 R21 Bridgestone turanza T005 on. These seem to be have discontinued as can not find them anywhere.

Any recommendations? Asda tyres has Pirelli P zeros for £253 each . £1k on tyres lol

I think Asda worked out best for me too when I had an A7 because they were running voucher codes etc. Even less than the likes of Blackcircles/Tyre shopper

I had stuck with Conti's after a very bad experience with Dunlops shredding (known issue with the A7 and Dunlops!) and they held out well before I chopped it in last year.
I do not miss shelling out for 21" tyres although 20's are not that far off

Im running P Zero's on my summer rims (20") and Goodyear Ultragrip + on my winter rims (19")

I have a very friendly independent tyre dealer close to me, who is happy to have any online purchases shipped direct to them - regardless of who the supplier is. They also store whatever rims Im not using in their warehouse for £30 a year, including changeover fitting.

There are, as Im sure you're finding out, literally thousands of online tire dealers, some will only ship to an approved installer, others will ship to whatever address you supply. I ended up purchasing from https://www.tyres-guru.co.uk (UK Based) however the tires were shipped direct from Germany - but with Brexit now in full force I'd be wary of potential import charges for European sourced tires.

I spent hours hunting down online tires - its a minefield. At one point Kwik-Fit online were my P Zero supplier as they had a deal on a buy 2 get £50 off.

Happy hunting :racer:

the Turanza T005 are not discontinued, they just sell out very quickly. I've some on back order through my local Audi dealer who price matched Asda a few weeks ago. due back in stock early Feb.

I replaced my Pirellis with Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5s in December - best deal on those at the time was Blackcircles, fitted at my local National tyre place.

Very happy with the Goodyears, better comfort & noise levels than the Pirellis or the Vredesteins I had previously.

Hi mate, any news on your mate running those 21” radars? I’m looking at getting 2 for my 3.0 TDI as I can’t afford £580 at the moment as I’ve gotta replace both front suspension wishbone arms (picked up on Halfords Major Service). Cheers pal

I’m in need of new tyres too. Fronts are on the limit now and rears got a mill or two left. Gonna change all 4 as it’s a Quattro. I’m getting Michelin pilot sport 4s. 275/30/21, Cheapest I found was Kwickfit @ £1056.

Radars come in at about £190 a corner and found a non branded on black circles for £115 a corner. But they look sold out.

Ouch, prices ain’t cheap with those 21” bad boys!!!

I found a set of 4 Kumho tyres on eBay for £699.99. Done some research and they seem to be pretty decent. Efficiency is not too good (E) but the grip is highly rated (A).

Yeah not cheap bout I got 20k miles out the last set so not too bad. When I brought the A7, my mate who works at Audi said make sure it has decent tyres on them, as these big Audi’s don’t drive well on cheap tyres.

yeah my friend who bought the radars, his friend owns a tyre place so that was cost price per tyre and he says they have shot up in price and struggling to get them , he blames brexit for import taxes and lead times on orders .

ive went down to 20" and the prices and availability are much more palatable

kumho are decent ive got kumho on mine and had them on previous cars and noticed a huge jump from the budgets.
hankook on her motor are decent

landsail seem to be getting hype on bmw forums etc

Fair one. I just bought two 21” Radar Tyres for my A7. £100 each, brand new. Gonna see how they hold up in comparison to the Dunlop’s.

I would have taken the quote to audi and got them to price match lol

But then again Audi wouldn’t come out to you, you would have to take the car to them.

Managed to get a £100 goodwill refund from Kwick fit for messing me about. So the final price comes to £900.50 (plus £26 via Quidco). So I’m happy with that.
