New year and a few things to look at for the car,

Recently, I decided to keep the S3 for atleast another year so i need to look at a few things...
( selling up held me back on a few of these things )
Im hoping to make a trip to "the Ring" this year , im not planing on breaking any records but would like to do a couple of laps faster than i could walk it ,
The problems with the car idealy want sorting before i think about the trip...
Brake are shocking after one good stop, ( brembos with Yellow stuff pads and CRN groved discs)
Im thinking the discs and pads are toast. But the brakes worked just as badly with the same brand of disc with DS2500 pads, Ive changed the fluid to ATE super racing blue,
Wheel and tyre choice... ive recently bought some summer wheels ( more show than go) so im planning to fit good track/ dry weather tyres for the trip plus summer blasts.
I have koni coilovers already and am fitting a rear R32 ARB this coming friday.
Any advice on the above would be great along with any other ideas on what to look into before planning the trip??

I think I may be able to help with the tyres, but first of all, what size are you running at the moment? 225 40R18 88Y or 225 45R17 91Y ?
