Noisy interior heater.

Hi there as it says in the title really just wondering if anyone else has had same problem? car is 2001 a3 quattro with air con, when turning fan blower speed up woorks but very noisy sounds like bearing gone or something like that can also kinda feel virbation through pedals if you get what I mean, dont suppose is repairable any ideas if can remove blower leaving rest of unit in place as dont want to mess about with air con gas etc. Also any ideas where can get replacement from with out taking out bank loan!!!!! lol.... Yep, take the glove box off, there is a sound proofing laver that can be unclipped and then there are a few screws on the bottom of the unit (you'll see it's where the cable connects in front of you). Fan can be replaced seperately, however it's not cheap from Audi - think mine was around £150.
