To remove them try something like SSR1/2 (Depending how deep they are you may need to try a more abrasive)
or Megs Scratch X.
Or something like an SRP will mask them as it contain fillers. But will re-appear in time.
Can be applied by hand too.

Srp works well on Akoya! top off with a sealant as well, it will give it a glossy look and great flake pop. Alternatively, poorboys white diamond will fill in tthe swirls also. Top advice above on removal! Check over places like polished bliss, and also cleanyourcar.co.uk/forum is a great place to get help from professionals and fellow novices!!!

You should always clay the car defore correction mate, this prevent any contaminates which maybe present from killing your paint work. When clayed you know you have a nice smooth contaminant free work area.
SRP (Super resin polish) will basically just mask the issue for maybe a month or two, not really resolving the problem, however still affective.
Something like SSR cuts down removing the swirls etc. Again the abrasion level used depends on how deep the scratches / swirls are. Be careful when using higher abrasive products though unless you know the condition / thickness of your paint work.
Personally I'm using poorboys
After using the SSR you could use the white diamond then apply your wax or just go straight to wax. At this stage you I personally would then go over with a quick detailer just to give that finishing touch :icon_thumright:
When Hunty mentioned 'flake pop' he is referring to the metallic/pearl finish. Making it really jump out.

I say use some Menzerna 203S with a lakes light cut pad. Polished Bliss reccomended this to me and it has been absolutely A1! I have megs scratch x , and it comes nowhere near the 203s. Infact I binned it!

Regarding the clay kit. The clay within the kit will not last that long. I suppose if you are only doing your car then you should be fine however, I would recommend spending your money on a decent size clay bar, as lube just use plain water in a spray bottle.
SSR1 will see you good, again as long as the scratches are not too deep.
Menz 203s is also good. I personally use SSR.
After you've applied the wax you could go over with a quick detailer to finish it off nicely. By doing this, you will go over any parts that you may have slightly missed with the wax.

I have Akoya Silver and one of the best ways to do this is via a DA Polisher i.e. Megs G220 or via a rotary polisher which is better than DA.
For german paint I'd recommend Menzerna. Superb stuff.

Removing the swirls by hand with poorboys or menzerna by hand isn't impossible, but it will take you ages! Audi is very hard paint. Out o the 2, poorboys will do less than the menzerna as menzerna is specifically designed for harder paints. SSR1 is a finishing polish and won't touch swirls. Without a machine polisher, masking is your only option, unless you do a panel at a time, over the next 5 years! As said above, claying is essential! I tried polishing my old MX5 by hand, notouriously soft, and I gave up. Bought a DAS-6 dual action and went to it. An abrasive (Menzerna etc) polish will remove crap that claying has missed and give more shine, then a filling polish such as AG SRP will mask some swirls. By hand it's the best you are going to achieve in a realistic time scale. To break the abbrasive polish down, work until it is no longer white, but is like a clear thick liquid spread across the paintwork, by hand, this is an achievement in it's self. Sorry to be a pessimist. Hope you get the look you're looking for.
