Hi,

Recently purchased a a3 2.0 fsi 04 plate, really nice condition and runs really smoothly, i connected up my brother in laws diagnostics machine, because i had a light on which read
00810: Sensor 1/2 for brake pressure
00778: Steering Angle Sensor
01424: Lateral acceleration Sensor
Now my engine management light came on the other day while out , it was a
P1072: Nox Sensor heating control signal: electrical error in circuit and
P2279: Intake air system leak, does anybody know , what exactly i need to sort , cause im overwhelmed a really ****** off atm

Start with the easy one first, P2279. Check the intake for any cracks, loose pipes etc.

Google the fault codes or look o. The Ross-tech wiki for symptoms/remedial actions.

00810 - Sensor 1/2 for Brake Pressure
00810 - Sensor 1/2 for Brake Pressure: No or Incorrect Basic Setting / Adaptation
Possible Symptoms
  • Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) active
Possible Causes
  • Sensor 1/2 for Brake Pressure Basic Setting lost/not performed
Possible Solutions
  • Perform Sensor 1/2 for Brake Pressure Basic Setting

00810 - Sensor 1/2 for Brake Pressure: Implausible Signal
Possible Symptoms
  • Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) active
Possible Causes
  • Sensor 1/2 for Brake Pressure faulty
Possible Solutions
  • Check/Replace Sensor 1/2 for Brake Pressure
Special Notes
  • In cases where the Sensor for Brake Pressure is part of the Brake Hydraulics Unit, the complete Unit may need to be replaced.

00778 - Steering Angle Sensor (G85)
00778 - Steering Angle Sensor (G85)
Possible Causes
  • Steering Angle Sensor (G85) Basic Setting lost
Possible Solutions
  • Perform Steering Angle Sensor (G85) Basic Setting
Special Notes
  • This Fault Code may also be stored even though the Steering Angle Sensor (G85) is properly calibrated (Basic Setting), though it may not be finally initialized yet. Check the Measuring Value Blocks (MVB) in the Steering Aid Control Module (J500 / #44) for details. The Initialization will usually take place during a test drive.

00778 - Steering Angle Sensor (G85): Faulty
00778 - Steering Angle Sensor (G85): Defective

Possible Causes
  • Steering Angle Sensor (G85) faulty
Possible Solutions
  • Check Steering Angle Sensor (G85)
Special Notes
  • With steering wheel level, wheels pointing straight ahead, make sure G85 is reporting 0 degrees +/- 5 degrees. If a reading of +360 or - 360 degrees is found. Remove steering wheel and turn clock spring 1 turn in direction needed to fix. See repair manual.
00778 - Steering Angle Sensor (G85): Implausible Signal
Possible Causes
  • Steering Angle Sensor (G85) Basic Setting lost
  • Steering Angle Sensor (G85) Installation Position incorrect
  • No Communication between Steering Angle Sensor (G85) and Brake Electronics (J104)
Possible Solutions
  • Perform Steering Angle Sensor (G85) Basic Setting
  • Check Steering Angle Sensor (G85) Installation Position
  • Check communication between Steering Angle Sensor (G85) and Brake Electronics (J104)

00778 - Steering Angle Sensor (G85): No or Incorrect Basic Setting / Adaptation
Possible Causes
  • Steering Angle Sensor (G85) Basic Setting lost
Possible Solutions
  • Perform Steering Angle Sensor (G85) Basic Setting
Special Notes
  • When this DTC will not clear in Mk70 and MK60 ESP equipped (1K) Golf models see the WSS (Wheel Speed Sensor) notes Here.
00778 - Steering Angle Sensor (G85): Not Matched
Possible Causes
  • Steering Angle Sensor (G85) Basic Setting lost
Possible Solutions
  • Perform Steering Angle Sensor (G85) Basic Setting
Special Notes

00778 - Steering Angle Sensor (G85): Mechanical Failure
Possible Causes
  • Steering Angle Sensor (G85) Basic Setting lost
  • Steering Angle Sensor (G85) Installation Position incorrect
  • Suspension Geometry incorrect
Possible Solutions
  • Perform Steering Angle Sensor (G85) Basic Setting
  • Check Steering Angle Sensor (G85) Installation Position
  • Check Suspension Geometry
00778 - Steering Angle Sensor (G85): No Signal/Communication
Possible Causes
  • Steering Angle Sensor (G85) faulty
  • Steering Angle Sensor (G85) configured incorrectly due to replacement control modules or incorrect coding
  • Buggy ABS controller software
Possible Solutions
  • Check Steering Angle Sensor (G85)
  • Check Steering Angle Sensor (G85) location and configuration on the vehicle in question
  • Check ABS controller software per TPIs, TSBs and recall publications .
Special Notes
  • When found in the VW Jetta, Beetle and Beetle Convertible with MK60EC1 ABS control modules numbers; 1K0 907 379 BM and 1K0 907 379 BS may have a flash update for model years 2014-2015. US Market RVU # 45D7 (TPMS/ESC Software (FED_EMS) includes the following DTCs: 00778 and 01325

  • Intake Manifold Runner Position out of Specification
  • Faulty Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) System or Heating Element (N79)
Possible Solutions
  • Check Intake System for Leaks
  • Check Intake Manifold Runner
  • Check (PCV) System and / or Heating Element if applicable
Special Notes
  • When found in the NAR 2.0T (BPY) check RVUTB: 01-09-03 or 2018919 for updated Crankcase Breather Valve
    • If the breather valve is faulty, full engine vacuum is typically found when removing the oil cap at idle.

You can look up the rest;)

So will that mean i will need to replace the abs pump?? Also when can i find the code for the exact one i may need?

Or just a sensor? Im gonna clean the sensor up as it may be a build of dirt change the pads and disc’s and go from there
