Hi. I'm new to this - never owned an Audi before, so excuse the ignorance!!

Had an odd misfire both today and yesterday afternoon. Both after work. I started the car from cold and got a definite misfire. I turned the engine off, started it again and got the same thing. So checked under bonnet and had a wiggle about - coils etc, tried again and it seemed to be fine. No other issues that night whilst driving.
Today, same thing. although I didn't try "wiggling" anything this time. I did, arm and disarm the alarm, then tried it and the misfire had disappeared! Weird. I don't have VAGcom so don't know if there are any fault codes up. The engine warning light did not come on at all during the misfire. It does come on when you turn the ignition on, so I know the bulb is there (!!!)

Anyone experience this, or got any ideas?

Thanks,

Lod

Really sounds like coil pack, get it rigged up to diagnostics.
