Hi, My car had factory fitted RNS-E unit but no Bluetooth phone module.
So i fitted, module, Mic and came with adaptor loom, all OEM.
All worked well after recoding with Vag-Com.

Then, as the dark nights started, I swithched on the side lights, there was a buzzing in the car and tracked down to the drivers side rear door speaker? the buz was coming from there.
So switch off lights, no buzzing at all, switch on lights and buzzing starts again.
I removed the adaptor loom from the RNS-E and reconnected the connector, no buzzing with lights on.
So the problem is as you guessed, the adaptor loom must be causing the problem, but where??
I thought even if the adaptor loom is fully wired, when I plug my factory fitted connector it would only use the
pins that are wired, so any help please what to look for???

As you say,it seems your bluetooth loom is the problem.I would label the wires at the RNS-E end using the guide on the top of the RNS-E and trace back to the other end to see if any wires need to be moved.

When I bought my RNS-E 'plug 'n' play' adaptor I had to move some wires to the correct slots...

Hopefully you just need to change a wire on your adaptor.
