I have fitted the oem iPod kit (8E0051444 A/B depending on 12 pin plug or 20 pin wire) to my symphony 2 radio the kit works by playing upto 5 play lists on your iPod via the cd changer control but the problem I'm having is it is not charging my iPod or my iPhone 4s it's giving a error message about charging is not supporting on this device.

Here Is the kit I fitted.

Anyone had this problem.

It's because Apple changed the charging requirements from 12v to 5v on the later iPods and iPhones. I got an adaptor through Apple, though they are on E-bay too that converts it so it chagres. You just plug the iPhone into the adaptor and then plug the adaptor inot the dock in the glovebox. Job done...

Be careful of the cheap ebay converters, they can overheat.

Thanks for the replys
