Oil for B8 170 2.0TDI DPF

Hi,

What is the best oil for B8 170 2.0TDI DPF, anyone have a recommendation? I think Audi use Quantum when doing longlife service. Anyone have any recommendations? The 3 I seem to come across are:

Quantum 5w30 Long Life

Castrol EngineEdge 5w30 LongLife

Mobil Engine Oil 5W30

There will always be people who say Castrol or Mobil are the better two but Quantum is made specifically for VAG and at the end if the day all rated to 507.00.

My 3.0 TDI is on Quantum and it runs fine.

All good and APPROVED , one could argue Shell Helix Ultra Professional cause their group 3 oil basestock is gas derived rather than crude making for a purer product or Castrol Edge for its Titanium FST marketing .

So either by the sounds of it! I used Shell Helix Processional on my B7 to be honest but haven't noticed anyone recommending on B8.

To be honest I used Wilkinsons own brand. It's made at the same refinery as other top oils, and has the same spec.
Plus it's a fraction of the price.

I have the same engine. Nothing but the longlife Castrol Edge for me. It's what my Audi garage said they use so I've kept with it. Costs a bit more but still significant saving from getting them to do it. Paid £29.98 for 4 ltrs last time from TPS.
