I own a 1999 model audi a4 1.8t quattro. 2 weeks ago whilst driving the oil pressure warning light and buzzer came on once only for 2-3 seconds. I checked oil level wich was fine. The same happened again today the light and buzzer sounded for 2-3 seconds i carried on driving and havent heard it again. Any comments and advice would be appreciated.

Thanks for reply. Could it be anything else causing problem or is it definitley oil strainer

I had the same problem, I'm guessing theboil pick up pipe is blocked like mine, they are only £9 from tps or you could clean it... and whilst you have the sump off give it a good clean! Mine sludgedbup after 1k miles after the garage put semi synthetic oil in and clogged my whole engine, might be worth flushingvit through with cheap oil before filling it with decent oil! My engine purrs now where as it was abit noisy before!

Sorry for random letters btw, my phones doing weird things..
