Yet another problem, Just changed all 4 coil packs on my 1.8tq 190 and noticed that 2 of the spark plugs were oily! Does this mean the piston rings are shot?

where on the spark plug was oily? Could it be the rocker cover gasket leaking causing oil to pour down onto the plugs?

The whole lot was oily on the one, even the coil pack was covered, I have discovered the spark plug on that cylinder wasnt in properly (loose and cross threaded) ((another brill audi servicing job)). But even so, the oil shouldn't get to it??

if it's on the top of the spark plug and the coil then I wouldn't have thought it would be blowing through the spark plug. I'd imagine it will be the rocker cover gasket gone and oil is passing through that way. If it was only the diode covered then I'd be worried.

The electrodes s/b brown maybe blackened if a lot of oil is getting in
