on board diagnostics through climate control audi a3

hey everyone, for the life in me i cant access the on board diagnostics using the climate control, i just wanted to check engine temp, see if it tallys up with the temp gauge.

A3 8p 2.0t 55 reg

any help would be greatly appreciated

My 2001 Leon did this, I don't think it is a feature tbh on the Audi

I've got it on mine, although it's not diagnostics, I think its the settings, I can see the engine temperature, next service date, parking sensor distance and a load of other stuff.

Although i'm not sure why the OP doesn't have it, so I'll leave that question to someone else!

8P for me using the wiper stalk button and changes the DIS to display what Napbree posted.

Ahh yeah my 8P as that through the DIS menu

No, 8P has the oil temp on the DIS.

PRE FACELIFT ONLY 8L's had it as part of the climate by pressing the bottom right and top right buttons then using the temp buttons to cycle through. It showed live engine data too.
