Hello,
I have a Audi S3 8p 2010 Sportback. I've owned for around a year now.
Around 2 months ago i installed a CAI. After around a week of running engine light came on with the code P0171. The seems to run fine apart from surging on start up .
-I have checked for vac leaks and thought i had found it with a PCV hose worn through. Replaced this.
-I changed the N20 evap valve as a matter of precaution.
-Blanked off the PCV valve.
-Checked the Diverter valve for splits all ok
-Had a smoke test ans pulled up 2 minor leaks and resolved these.
-Cleaned the MAF Sensor
Everything is pointing to the CAI i installed but cant see why it would be causing any issues if there arent any leaks.
Only thing i can think is the Intake pipe is a slightly different bore diameter to standard?
Does any one have any other suggestions before i bite the bullet and put the intake back to standard? Also would this be something a tuning company could map out?
