hi,

P2002 Diesel Particulate Filter Efficiency Below Threshold Bank 1

does anyone out there know the solution to this code, had dpf filter regenerated, but light keeps coming back on

any tests i can do my self to determine whats chucking light back on, can clear code and will stay off for a day or so/ 50 miles

???

I am having the same issues with my DPF blocking all the time to the point where I have to force a regen on it almost weekly. I have changed SO many parts trying to get the bottom of it. Next thing to check is the Tandem pump, if Oil is mixing with Fuel it might explain the extra soot the car seems to be producing.

Not really sure if dpf is clogged.. or just sensor issue, been to several garages and they have no idea! Just charge for this and that and no cure. So it’s in Audi today £60 garenteed they’ll diagnose issue, Audi said probably not dpf blocked as that would bring dpf exhaust light on dash, so who knows? Been there since 8am and haven’t heard yet.. will keep you updated

Audi all fixed! I’ll type what invoice says...

Investigated EML on. Carried out GFF.
G450 fault stored. Internal Defect on sensor.
Requires new sensor & DPF regen.
Replaced G450 sensor, adapted to ECU.
Carried out DPF regen. Roadtest vehicle. No fault Returned.

Also gave the car a complimentary wash a vacuum.. what about that for service..

Only brought car home from dealer (25 miles) so fingers crossed all fine.

Total cost £207.95 didn’t think it was to bad..
Considering an Audi specialist charged me 150 for apparently doing the same or something similar and it failed, didn’t refund me either, cheeky ********!

Maybe yours is doing the same?
Good luck @Sp3no82

Just to update this, my ASV was not functioning and I thought it only operated when you shut the engine off, I spoke to a specialist and they informed me that the ASV also operates in conjunction with the EGR so this could be causing soot issues. I have changed the ASV and true to their word the DPF light has now stayed off and the car is preforming passive regens when required successfully. Gone from having a DPF light every couple of days to nothing for 3 months now.
