I have a set of perfect alloys, but want the colour changed, leaving the diamond cut areas as is. Has anyone done this? I will be getting a professional sprayer to do it, but can the diamond cut areas be masked and sprayed and still look OK, or will it always look like a botch job?

Alloy wheel places do charge more for diamond cut respray as they redo your diamond cut but you can get away with masking it, if done properly.
I had mine diamond cut wheels resprayed from Gun metal to Hyper silver and had them done whole. Hardly any difference would be noticeable on them so couldn't justify the cost difference
