Facelift pan roof seal

Hi there

Has anyone had any issues with the seals on the pan roof? Mine are damaged, dealer telling me an animal has done it, personally I cant see how as there is no damage to paint work etc..

It does tbh just can't understand how with no damage.and it ever happened to my pan roof on s3 in 2and half yrs.

I'm sorry to say that piece of rubber is very expensive however it is replaceable
The rubber on the front and sides is not and it is caused by crows pecking at it as they seem to like the taste of it and I'm afraid I think in our case it was the same pair of crows doing the damage
It happened to a A1 we had in which has a very similar roof design and all of the rubbers were destroyed
We replaced the rear piece twice at circa £100 a time

Your telling me they wanted £280 fitted let' just say am not paying that!!!

The part at the rear takes only a minute to fit

They are only charging for the seal now still £106.66 if it was an animal and i see it (still to check cctv) going to sit and wait for it to come back
